The vertical profile of the ozone concentration in the forest had a sigmoid pattern : the concentration decreased in the canopy, increased under the canopy, and decreased again at the ground surface. The profiles were analyzed using the concentration ratios at each measurement point and were compared between daytime and night time. As a result, the sigmoid patterns were found in both day and night time. This result suggests that not only uptake of ozone through stomata but also adsorption on the surface of leaves, stems or soils are
