Arranging and coordinating the characteristics of forest influences on the human environment in general, in this study those characteristics which are of great importance in Kiso District have been selected and discussed : these include climate moderating, water conservation, erosion control, natural disaster control, biotic species maintenance, landscape and amenity presentation, recreational use and educational use. As the most important forest effect in Kiso District, the function of water conservation has been discussed from a view point closely connected with soil conservation. The recreational use of forests is also important for Kiso District, so how to keep and maintain the landscape and structure of forest is an important theme worth discussing. A trial experiment to keep the physiognomy of the natural Hinoki (Chamaecyparis obtusa) forests against the gradual invasion of Asunaro (Thujopsis doladrata) has been undertaken and is presented here., 農林水産研究情報センターで作成したPDFファイルを使用している。}, pages = {55--70}, title = {物質資源・環境資源としての木曽谷の森林(2) : 木曽谷の森林の環境保全的効用}, volume = {13}, year = {1994} }
