The vortex method computes simultaneously the behavior of vortex element and the particle motion by the Lagrangian approach. It is demonstrated that the simulated particle distribution, mean velocity and fluctuating velocity agree with the measurement and that the vortex method is indeed applicable to the analysis of particle-laden plane mixing layer.
