On the issue, most studies focus on calculating the inequality indexes and inquiring the factors caused the disparity from the viewpoint of economics and sociology separately. However, income inequality is a complex issue which should be explained with plural theories. This paper, with methodologies of economics and sociology, studied the new changes of social class structure and its influence on the income distribution in China using the China Social Dynamic Survey dataset 2006. Our findings are that income is a decisive factor determining a person’s class position and in return, class position has large influence on one’s income level; meanwhile, education, measured by the years of schooling, is also an important factor influencing one person’s income. Based on the new class structure analysis, the paper suggest that class structure adjustment, namely transferring the low income class to a high income class, e.g., decreasing farmer’s class and increasing worker’s class, is one of the best options to reduce the income gap.}, pages = {149--165}, title = {中国における階級・階層構造の変化と所得格差 - 「2006年社会状況調査」のデータ分析に基づく -}, volume = {55}, year = {2007} }
