内容記述 This paper analyzes how power electric companies in Japan should select their competitive strategy in the electricity business in order to gain and sustain a competitive advantage in the age of deregulation which is advancing rapidly in the energy industry. In the electricity business, companies need to select a strategy which reforms corporate culture and improves brand image. Afterwards, as it is particularly difficult for them to differentiate their product, they need to select a cost leadership strategy.
