An issue which arises in this context is overspecialization. In particular, since the fitness of individuals depends on comparisons with opponents, biased diversity of phenotype in one population biases diversity of phenotype in the other population. In order to solve this issue, we attempt to create ideal evolutionary pressure for one population by applying a method which controls diversity of phenotype to another population.
