Firstly, we conclude that the contingency theory which puts an emphasis on the influence from environment to structure corresponds to the contingent relationship among E→S→S, based on the Open & Rational Model which holds a causal relation of E→S→H. performance can be considered as a result of the contingency among E→S→S. Secondly, the conclusion that the strategic choices and environmental operations of executives corresponds to the contingent relationship among S→S→E can be drawn based on Open & Natural System Model which has a reverse causal relationship like H→S→E. Further, the performance is not only a dependent variable but also an independent one and has an affect on the organization. The above research, therefore, helps us to analyze the causal relationship of P→S→S→E from the perspective of linking Open & Natural System Model to performance variable.
