 note = {Chinese securities market has developed since the late 1970s, when China started changes from planned economy to market economy.  In this paper, I consider securities market’s reforms and corporate governance in China.  I also examine the reform of listed state enterprises, and how efficient corporate governance regarding state enterprises is built up. Moreover, I find that the reform of the Chinese securities market needs institutional investors.  As Chinese securities market is still under-developed, it is important to provide a safe and efficient environment for investors.  Therefore, this paper illustrates the situation and issues facing institutional investors in the contemporary Chinese market, and proposes a method to improve this situation.},
