We gave undergraduates prior instruction, emphasizing the importance of evaluation of information resources, and then posed questions that would require qualitative judgment. As a result, many of the test subjects acquired some degree of skill in search technique, but they had some problems in critical and qualitative evaluation of the information resources. However, the behavior of the test subject who achieved the highest score in this experiment demonstrated particular characteristics such as a high level of information literacy and an aptitude for critical thinking. From these findings, we construct a process model of cognition and evaluation during information retrieval. When we examined the movements of the mouse during web searches, (1) the most common movement during their web page searches was scrolling and (2) the undergraduates tended to use mouse pointers to mark information they noticed.}, pages = {1--12}, title = {大学生のサーチエンジン情報探索行動の分析:タイムサンプリング法を用いて}, volume = {4}, year = {2006} }
