 note = {Current libraries are hybrid libraries, which provide digital materials as well as print ones. This paper proposes a digital library model for hybrid libraries, aiming for easier access to materials, especially to print ones. We show that the automatic identification technique enables libraries to provide new patron services, where “the automatic identification technique”gives a unique name to every material to identify it, and is the key technique in the ubiquitous era. A typical example of the technique is bar codes or RFID.},
