The impact factor is calculated based on the data of Science Citation Index ExpandedTM and Social Sciences Citation Index®. The impact factor is one measure of citation analysis, now it affects selections of journals and research evaluation. However it was pointed out that the value of the impact factor in Journal Citation Reports® was not consistent with the value calculated from Science Citation Index ExpandedTM. We examined the data of "Solid State Physics: Advances in Research and Applications" and the results showed that the impact factor consisted of correct citations (40.6%), variations of citations (6.3%), misidentifications of citations (37.5%), citations that were could not been found (12.5%), and citations that were unidentified (3.1%). It is necessary to consider the impact factor holds variations, or so called "calculated risk".}, pages = {35--44}, title = {引用のバリエーションとインパクトファクター}, volume = {4}, year = {2006} }
