| 内容記述 | This article aims to show what is meant by Structural Contingency Theory by analyzing Pennings(1975, 1987, 1992). Generally, Structural Contingency Theory has been understood as contingency theory of organizational structure. However, we have another vein that structure as contingency affects performance of organization. Here, through an analysis of three articles by Pennings, the comparison is made between Contingency Theory and Structural Contingency Theory. The folowing three points will be discussed; the meanings of equifinality, the paradigm or premises of Contingency Theory and Structral Contingency Theory, and their images of organization model especially relating to Burns & Stalker's mechanistic organizaion and organic organizaion. | |||||
