| 内容記述 | The first observation of K*state in the Kηsystem is presented. The Kηsystem was studied in the reaction K-p → K-pπ+π-π^0 at ll GeV/c using the data obtained by the Large Aperture Superconducting Solenoid (LASS) spectrometer at SLAC. The sensitivity of the K- beam experiment was ～ 4.1 events/nb.The K-η effective mass spectrum shows a prominent peak at ～ 1.75 GeV/c^2, which is shown to be due to the K^*_3(1780)by a spherical moment analysis and amplitude decomposition. There is no significant signal of K^*_2(1430).The measured branching ratios for leading L=- 1,L = 2K^*’s areBR(K^*_2,(1430) - Kη) < 0.45 % at the 95% c.1. and BR(K3^*_3'(1780→Kη)=9.4士3.4 %, respectively, which confirm the SU(3) prediction that Kηcouples preferentially to odd spin K^*. | |||||
