We harvested the omentum thus wrapped 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, or 24 weeks after surgery. Within 1 week after surgery, woven bone was formed and clusters of osteoblasts were observed. At 8 weeks, medullization, including the presence of granulocytes, was confirmed.
