内容記述 Colloidal crystals (silica opals) were fabricated from monodispersed mesoporous silica spheres (MMSS) by using a fluidic cell. Angle–resolved reflection spectra were collected under different water and benzene vapor pressures. An 8.5% increase in the refractive index was observed when the water vapor was adsorbed in the mesopores of MMSS opal. Employing benzene vapor led to an 11.7% increase for MMSS opal, while no change was observed for the colloidal crystal fabricated from silica spheres without ordered pores (NSS). The shift in the refractive index, accompanied by the change in the structure color, was observed reversibly, and the results were in qualitative agreement with the inherent adsorption property of MMSS. The electrophoretic deposition technique has been utilized to fabricate the synthetic opals from dye impregnated MMSS with absolute ζ-potential near zero. It was successfully demonstrated that the amount of dye adsorbed in the mesopores of MMSS controlled the shift of the refractive index, then the Bragg reflection. To evaluate the effect of the stop band upon the spontaneous emission from the embedded fluorescent guests within the MMSS opal, MMSS with particle diameters in the low submicron range, which has potential for controlling the visible light, was successfully synthesized. Organic dyes were impregnated within the mesopores of MMSS in a stable form, and further opal structures were fabricated from them. It was revealed that when the stop bands were overlapped with the emission bands from the impregnated fluorescent guests, significant changes were observed in the profiles of emission spectra and emission peak intensity. Carbon colloidal crystals, consisted of porous carbon spheres, were fabricated by simple and facile nanocasting methods, in which MMSS opals were used as sacrificial scaffolds. The mesostructure of MMSS was well replicated in the nanopores in the carbon opaline arrays, even when MMSS was fabricated to the synthetic opal. Infiltration of furfuryl alcohol and introduction of acetonitrile vapor by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) were conducted. The three dimensional close packed array and the novel "ball in cup" carbon hierarchical structure were successfully fabricated. Colloidal opalescence was clearly observed on the close packed array of carbon colloidal crystal in accordance with the observation angle. The results of the 2D surface diffraction revealed that the opalescence was derived from the periodicity within the (111) plane.
