内容記述 The inclusion of the measurement of social skills in the PISA administered by OECD is currently under consideration. However, it is often argued that standards for evaluation of social skills are set within the framework of a given society and that any cross-cultural comparison beyond this framework is essentially impossible. In this study, an investigation was conducted in cities in the Asian region (Shanghai, Shenzhen, Yangon) whose cultures are comparatively closer to Japan's. The Social Skill Inventory for Middle School Students (SSI-M) standardized in Japan was utilized in the study, and a review of the cross-cultural comparability of social skills was undertaken. As a result, it was demonstrated that cross-cultural comparison of skills in relationship-building, consideration toward others, and emotion regulation was possible to a certain extent.
