内容記述 | Parent-infant classes at public health centers are conducted for parents and their infants who are considered for follow-ups after health examination of the infant and the young child. Health center staffs suggest that they need to participate in the classes. The classes are conducted for infants facing the risk of developmental disability and their parents, and they are places that offer guidance before therapeutic education. They also provide assistance services at an early stage. We surveyed preceding studies on parental support and considered points of views to make the influence of the classes on help-seeking preference and behavior of parents clear. According to the studies, it is necessary to investigate the influence of the experience of being helped, cognition of supporters and reaction to the infant’s problem. It is expected that the influence of the evaluations of help is also important since it determines whether parents would seek further help. | |||||
