| 内容記述 | This study aims to suggest a method of generalizing a theory pertaining to an original micro foundation in terms of its institutional approaches and ideologies, through an empirical case study of Thailand as a developing country. We begin our discussion by focusing on empirical data on household activities, obtained from the well-known statistical book, The Household Socio- Economic Survey (Section 1). We then suggest the possibility of there being an original mechanism of autonomous mutual assistance, instead of official aid, among households in Thailand. Since this type of real economic activity and its effects have not been studied thus far, the underlying theory should be validated by transparent and detailed data. On the next, I present the preliminary results of a joint research in Bangkok over the last two years (Section 2). In order to explain such a unique phenomenon in Thai households, I introduce certain institutional ideas such as the difference between "formal" and "informal" institutions, from the side of theories on the next. Then, I draw a map connecting these concepts with the actual corresponding features of the households' activities (Section 3). Finally, I summarize my discussion and suggest some topics that future research should address (Section 4). | |||||
