| 内容記述 | Economic growth of Thailand is a key stone of further economic growth in east asia. This paper confirms that the growth of automobile industry in Thailand have been contributing to the economic growth of Thailand. The degree of contribution, however, decreased after Asia currency crisis. We also survey the industrial policies for automobile industry in Thailand. We found that the policy changes from protection of infant industries to a free trade and those timing were very effective for the growth of automobile industry in Thailand. The agglomeration of automobile industry makes Thailand's economy be proof against several shocks from both demand and supply sides such as the global financial crisis and disasters. | |||||
