In this study, using carbon particles as model diesel particles, we evaluated the filtration and regeneration performances of SiC-DPF. In filtration test, we observed the transition between depth filtration to surface filtration. Based on the regeneration test, it is found that carbon particles are oxidized at 400 degree centigrade. At 600 degree centigrade, the filter regeneration is largely promoted, which is suitable temperature for practical purpose.
