内容記述 | The aim of this study was to replicate the Frase's experiment (1967) by the use of Japanese sentence. Variables were i) the length of passage, 2) the presence of knowledge of results, and 3) the position of factual questions within the text. A 3×2×2 factorial analysis assesed the effects of three variables. Ss were 260 junior high school children (C. A. : 14.3 15.3). Results were as follows, a) The knowledge of results was significant for the post retention questions which had occurred during reading, and also there was a significant interaction between the length of passage and the position of question. b) After-position of question made more effective learning for the post incidental questions which had been related to the prose material not tested by the retention questions, and also there was a significant interaction between the length of passage and the position of question. c) There was a positive correlation between the retention question score and the degree of interest in the prose material. d) Before-position of question groups were reading the prose material more quickly. e) Four days after, the same retention questions and incidental questions were administered. The same results were found. | |||||
