| 内容記述 | The author tried to derive the apparant height of the daytime and nighttime ionosphere at very low frequencies using the results of the atmospheric waveform analyses on the basis of simple reflection theory. From the daytime observation results it was found that the ionospheric wave appeared to be reflected from a height of 65km with a phase change of π at reflection by comparing the results analysed from the waveforms having the short duration two peaked pulses with sferics fixes. From both nighttime regular peaked type and long train type waveforms the height of E-layer was estimated as about 80km by finding the minimum number of cases in which the time differences between each peak of reflected echoes and the corresponding curve of the chart drawn by assuming any mean height of the layer exceed the error on measuring the time intervals between successive peaks. It was also found that the E-layer might be considered as a sharply bounded surface at any incident angle at the height of about 80km, but much of the information required to give a detailed description is lacking particularly at the higher incident angles because of the experimental weakness. | |||||
