| 内容記述 | The purpose of the report is to analyse the present conditions of agriculture through the successors of farms at Okura village (Yamagata Prefecture) and Tombara village (Shimane Prefecture). The results are as follows : (1) At Tombara village, the eldest farming sons of thirties and above have engaged in agriculture traditionally. But at present, the eldest sons of teens and twenties are very few who become the successors of farms willingly and most of them find their positions in cities. Many parents (farmers) want their sons to find their positions in cities, too. At Okura village, parents (farmers) believe that their eldest sons ought to become farmers (successors of farms) and their eldest sons engage (or are engaged) in agriculture. But many of them become farmers against their will and want to change their occupations. (2) The most of young farming sons at the both villages are thinking that agriculture in Japan is not promising. The greatest reason is that the income of agriculture is smoller than that of other occupations. (3) At the both villages, farmers can not live within the farming income, and so they have to go to cities to do piecework (dekasegi) in every winter. (4) At the both villages, it is very difficult for young farmers to marry, the reasons of which are : a) There are very few daughters at villages. b) Daughters of farms do not want to marry successoers of farms. c) Parents do not want to make their daughters marry farmers, too. (5) As stated above, the young farmers at the villages may be on the decrease and the agriculture may be devastated in the near future. | |||||
