In the last ten years, smaller, more user-friendly and less expensive accelerators have been developed in the field of AMS, as traditional accelerators are huge and need a lot of manpower and money to operate. Now, the more compact AMS system operating with terminal voltages of \u22640.50 MV, e.g. compact-AMS (CAMS) with 0.5 MV, single-stage AMS (SSAMS) with 0.25 MV, and Mini Carbon Dating System (MICADAS) with 0.20 MV, allows high 14C yield and a low background, and 14C-AMS direct measurements of CO2 gas are coming true for ultra-small samples (several to 100 \u03bcgC) without contamination. Furthermore, automated combustion and graphitization have reduced the work for sample preparation. This paper describes the outline of recent advances in 14C AMS. \u52a0\u901f\u5668\u8cea\u91cf\u5206\u6790(AMS)\u306f\u8a66\u6599\u4e2d\u306e14C\u6fc3\u5ea6\u3092\u9ad8\u7cbe\u5ea6\u30fb\u9ad8\u78ba\u5ea6\u306b\u6e2c\u5b9a\u3059\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306e\u6709\u52b9\u306a\u624b\u6bb5\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3002\u3053\u305310\u5e74\u306e\u9593\u306b\u3001\u3053\u308c\u307e\u3067\u306e\u5de8\u5927\u3067\u5165\u624b\u3082\u7d4c\u8cbb\u3082\u304b\u304b\u308b\u52a0\u901f\u5668\u306b\u4ee3\u308f\u308a\u3001\u5c0f\u578b\u3067\u3001\u5229\u7528\u8005\u304c\u4f7f\u3044\u3084\u3059\u304f\u3001\u5b89\u4fa1\u306aAMS\u304c\u958b\u767a\u3055\u308c\u3001\u4e16\u754c\u4e2d\u306b\u5e83\u304f\u666e\u53ca\u3057\u3066\u304d\u305f\u3002\u73fe\u5728\u3067\u306f\u30010 Furthermore, automated combustion and graphitization have reduced the work for sample preparation. This paper describes the outline of recent advances in 14C AMS. 加速器質量分析(AMS)は試料中の14C濃度を高精度・高確度に測定するための有効な手段である。ここ10年の間に、これまでの巨大で入手も経費もかかる加速器に代わり、小型で、利用者が使いやすく、安価なAMSが開発され、世界中に広く普及してきた。現在では、0 .50 MV以下の加速電圧の小型AMS システム(例えば、0.50 MVのCAMS、0.25 MVのSSAMS、0.20 MVのMICADAS) により、低いバックグラウンドで高精度な14C測定が可能となっている。また、ガスイオン源の開発も進み、直接、試料CO2ガスをAMSに導入して数-100μgの炭素量で14C測定が可能となっている。自動試料調製システムの開発も行なわれ、試料調製系をガスイオン源にGISを用いて接続し、試料調製の迅速化、簡便化が実現している。
