内容記述 | The aim of this article is to investigate the research trends and to depict the prospect on ICT (Information and Communication Technology) education. In order to do that, this article analyzes and organizes previous studies comprehensively and refers to the theory of information society. The comprehensive analysis of the literature revealed the shift of research topics. While the early studies focused on educational activities at school, the later studies were interested in a variety of ICT and educational activities. Additionally, this article organized previous studies with division into three periods. In first period, the discussion about utilization of a computer in order to improve school education, got much attention. Turning to second period, computers were replaced to ICT, and various types of ICT were introduced into school education, based on the first period discussion. Moreover, in third period, the discussion about how to selectively apply ICT depending on the educational activities, was confirmed. In the theory of information society, there are two ideas regarding relationship between ICT and school education, called technological determinism and social determinism. The former idea is that ICT are introduced for improvement of school education. On the other hand, the latter idea is that ICT are selectively applied depending on the educational activities. Nevertheless, both ideas emphasize only the positive aspects of ICT, and thus a potential issue could be invisible. Moreover, there is possibility that social influences, for instance the unanticipated consequences, could be overlooked. In conclusion, this article suggests necessity of the discussion which enables to visualize potential issues regarding ICT education, without dependence upon technological determinism and social determinism. | |||||||||
