With this in mind, this paper examines how the public interest and publicness of corporate museums can be guaranteed. This paper reviews how the publicness of public cultural facilities, including museums, is discussed in cultural policy, how the \u201cnew public\u201d and corporate social responsibility and social contribution activities have evolved, and what the publicness of corporate museums is. The concept of \u201cnew public,\u201d which did not exist when the Museum Act was promulgated in 1951, could be the basis for the public interest and publicness of corporate museums.
