| 内容記述 | From the fourth year to the ninth year of Yongzheng Emperor's reign, Ortai adhered to the principle that "water conservancy is related to people's livelihood, and is especially an emergency in Yunnan." After accomplishing the bureaucratization of native officers to a certain degree, he began to vigorously implementing water conservancy construction, which covers both agricultural irrigation and transportation waterways. Through the construction of the water conservancy, Ortai intended to restore agricultural production and water transportation to maintain the social stability of Yunnan along with the bureaucratization of native officers. This paper first introduces Ortai's view of water conservancy. Based on the historical materials of Ch'ing Court Communication As Reflected In The Palace Memorials and the Yunnan Tongzhi from different historic periods, this paper then analyzes the actual appearance of the agricultural restoration and water transportation construction carried out by Ortai in Yunnan during the reign of Yongzheng Emperor. Through the analysis, it was found that the water conservancy construction was officially initiated during seventh year of Yongzheng Emperor's rule in the central areas ruled by the officials, including Yunnan, Lin'an, and Qujing Prefectures. Due to rapid development, the water conservancy construction had been expanded to Dali Prefecture, Chuxiong prefecture, Guangnan Prefecture, and other areas within the seventh to eighth year of Yongzheng Emperor's reign. The inscriptions on the existing tablets reveal that Ortai's water conservancy construction had won positive appreciation from the local people. | |||||||||
