First, the coincidence of ELF atmospherics (5-800 Hz) received simultaneously at both the stations was identified by using the NWC signal (22.3 kHz) as a time reference, then the fixing of atmospheric sources was, with high accuracy, made by means of the measurement of the propagation time difference between both the stations supplemented by the DF at Sakushima (TD method), in the region along the baselines where the effective triangulation DF was not usually realized.
