There are few, however, follow-up studies to cover considerable period beginning from its very initial stage, a well known example of which is Newcomb (1961). In the field of person perception, we can find many papers published since 1960's. A considerable portion dealt with the process of personality impression formation. Several investigators factoranalyzed the data to find out the frame-works with which persons see their unfamiliar stimulus persons, real or fictitious. There have been, however, very few papers concerned to attempts to determine its stability or changeability. The main purpose of the present investigation is to follow-up, for several months, the interaction process of real groups to see how interpersonal relations and person perception go on there. More specifically, we aim at finding the change of interpersonal cognitive structure, if any, and its relationship with interpersonal attraction in classrooms of a women's college. Ninety-eight freshmen, who belonged to one of the three classrooms served as Ss. They were given the following "tests" five times at intervals of some three weeks, beginning from a day four weeks after they enrolled : (1) Personality rating : Ss were made to rate four of their classmates, assigned at random from the filing list, on twenty seven-point bi-polar scales. (2) Sociometric rating : Ss were made to rate each classmate of them according to the extent to which they would like to be intimate with her. A seven-point scale was used. (3) Sociometic perception rating : Ss were made to estimate how each of their classmates rated them on the sociometric scale. In addition, Ss were asked to rate themselves on the personality scale at the first session only. Major findings obtained are as follows : 1. The factor structures of personality perception were very similar at all the five sessions. Four factors were extracted, which were interpreted as "activity", "intimacy", "attraction", and "sincerity", respectively. 2. In spite of a high degree of the stability of the factor structure, just mentioned, ratings on each scale, and the means of each factor score accordingly, showed some monotonous change over time. 3. Measures of accuracy of personality perception were calculated based on the discrepancy between scores of other-rating and self-rating. It is true that there are individual differences to some degree, but the one in Ss' visibility of personality was found to be greater than the one in Ss' empathic ability. 4. Ss' acceptance of their classmates tended, in general, to increase over time. 5. Sociometric status of individuals as defined by average sociometric rating given to them was stable to some measure from the beginning stage. The stability went up toward the third session, and it ceased to go up afterwords. 6. As to the relationship between sociometric rating and sociometric perception rating, three measures of coincidence were obtained after Tagiuri : mutuality, accuracy, and congruency. These tendencies were all significant from the beginning, among which congruency was the most conspicuous. 7. Correlation coefficients between sociometric rating and each of personality ratings were a little lower than expected. By means of multiple regression analysis, where criterion variable was sociometric rating, and predictive variables were factor scores of personality perception, we obtained multiple correlation coefficients ranged from 274 to 525. A decrement trend over time was observed. The largest relative weight was assined to "intimacy", follwed by "attraction", "activity", and "sincerity".
Abstract"}]}, "item_9_description_5":
"item_9_identifier_60":
"item_9_identifier_registration":
"item_9_publisher_32":
"item_9_select_15":
"item_9_source_id_7":
"item_9_text_14":

["389
["<原著>女子大学生における対人認知と対人関係に関する追跡的研究
