PTT is supposed to be a belief system involved in everyone\u0027s teaching activity. About 900 teachers of both elementary and junior high school replied to the questionaire with items expressing everyday teaching activities on mathematics. From the inquisition we could derive six factors on PTT by conducting a factor analysis. The six factors were named as follows; Pace of Teaching, Pace of Thinking, Way of Using Texts, Homework, Style of Teaching, and Degree of Dependence on Colleagues. The second aim was to put out the patterns of actual teaching activities according to the six factors. By employing a data pattern analysis, we could find the following two main results. 1) Most elementary school teachers proceed their teaching activities to the students\u0027 pace, and let the students think over in the problem solving situation. In terms of junior high school teachers, some are apt to proceed to their own pace and others are apt to proceed to the students\u0027 pace. And both of them let the students think over in the problem solving situation. 2) Both elementary and junior high school teachers tend to expect the students, who are good at mathematics, to be active and independent. 内容記述 | The first aim of this study was to present the structure of Personal Teaching Theory (PTT for short). PTT is supposed to be a belief system involved in everyone's teaching activity. About 900 teachers of both elementary and junior high school replied to the questionaire with items expressing everyday teaching activities on mathematics.
