内容記述 | Learning styles can be defined as a series of learning behaviors systemized in order to effectively attain one's aims of learning The purpose of the present article exists in analyzing learning styles in terms of learning aims. Four hundred and twenty-eight high school students responded to a questionnaire which asked them as to the learning style of English (60 items) as well as the opinions as to English learning (24 items). In terms of learning aims, the following four groups were identified : (1) no specific aims, (2) college entrance exams, (3) jobs, and (4) other specific aims. The number of students in each group were 51,198,54 and 54 respectively. As college entrance exams were the most popular aim of English learning (320 students, or 74.8%, responded affirmatively), the second group involved only those who selected this choice alone. Sixty items of learning style were broken down by learning aims (Table 4) : thirty-three items means were found significantly different among groups by means of ANOVA. Students who studied English in order to use it in the future jobs took practical learning styles. Also, the third group made a higher rating on the necessity of English learning in general. | |||||
