In a case like that, we are more likely to forget that teachers give positive influence on students in daily school life. Thus we think it is necessary now that we make clear the positive aspects. It seems to us that the students develope physically and mentally through numerous experiences impressed by their teachers. What kinds of impressive experiences do students receive from their teachers? It is the main purpose of our study. We asked students to write the compositions on the experiences impressed by their teachers. Subjects were 503 junior high school and 248 senior high school students. From all the compositions, we excluded impossible ones for analysis that were not understandable for readers and that were lack of the reason why the students impressed with the experiences. After making three graduate students classify independently the contents of the selected compositions, we adopted only ones that two-third of them coincided with each other concerning classification of the contents. As a result, the descriptions of the impressive experiences were categorized into eight classes : daily attitude toward students; unexpected behaviors; small talks; reproof and scolding; approval and encouragement; content and skill of instruction; resolution of problems; others. Furthermore, we presented representative cases of each category and gave our interpretation for them.
