We find that the solid solution between Pd and Cu systematically evolves the electronic ground states from a conventional band insulator to a correlated Mott insulator. In particular, CaPd0.6Cu2.4O4 shows a magnetic phase transition at 20 K. 内容記述 | We have successfully synthesized a set of polycrystalline samples of CaPd3−xCuxO4 from x = 0 to 2.4, and measured the resistivity, thermopower and susceptibility down to 4 K. We find that the solid solution between Pd and Cu systematically evolves the electronic ground states from a conventional band insulator to a correlated Mott insulator. In particular, CaPd0.6Cu2.4O4 shows a magnetic phase transition at 20 K.
