The former has such features as high recovery of light source energy and capability to remove scattering light in addition to those of atomic fluorescence spectroscopy, and is therefore suitable for trace analysis of samples in complex matrix by direct atomization. The latter is developed for spectroscopic correction of interferences caused in diverse types of atomizer and exciting sources for analytical atomic spectroscopy, and also useful for the elucidation of interference mechanisms. In INTRODUCTION is described an author\u0027s view on analytical chemistry and analytical atomic spectroscopy, involving historical changes, current status and some future trends. This is intended to make clear his motive to adopting the two methods as the main subjects. In chapter 1 are described the history, theory, instrumentation, experimental aspects and some application of atomic magneto-optical rotation spectroscopy. In chapter 2 are described those of the multi-line method. In SUMMARY are described the problems associated with the two methods and possible ways to overcome them. 内容記述 In this dissertation entitled “STUDIES ON ATOMIC SPECTROSCOPY FOR TRACE ANALYSIS” the author describes two novel atomic spectroscopic methods for direct analysis of trace amounts of elements; “ATOMIC MAGNETO-OPTICAL ROTATION SPECTROSCOPY” using the atomic Faraday effect and “MULTI-LINE METHOD” in which atomic, ionic and molecular lines are compared.
