"認知心理学領域における研究では，仮説検証プロセスは，仮説形成・実験計画・結果考察という三つの主要なプロセスに分けることができる．これら三つのプロセスの一貫性を維持することは，科学的に発見を行うために必要である．本研究では，一貫した仮説検証プロセスの学習を支援するために，4種類のグラフ利用活動を含む，計算機上にシミュレートされた実験環境を提案した．それは，(1)仮説形成の後に結果予想グラフを描くこと，(2)実験計画・実施後に得られた結果のグラフを描き，(3)システムから提示される模範的なグラフを閲覧すること，そして(4)結果考察の前に，それらグラフの比較を行うことである．実験的な検討の結果，グラフの利用を通して仮説検証プロセスを練習することにより，一貫したプロセスが実施できるようになることが示唆された．",
