| 内容記述 | 本研究では、韓国人大学生を対象に、先輩に対する「親族名称（垂直的呼称）」と「実名（水平的呼称）」の使い方の適切性判断とそれに及ぼす要因について検討を行った。その結果、韓国の大学生の場合は全体的に先輩に対しては親族名称を用いるのが適切であり、実名を用いるのは適切でないと判断していることが明らかになった。また、「親族名称」の使用には親疎関係が最も強く影響し、その次に話し手の性が影響していた。一方、「実名」の使用は、場面（授業中・雑談）の違いが最も強く影響し、次に親疎関係が強く影響していることが分かった。また、本研究では、大学生の先輩に対する「親族名称」使用は相手との距離を縮めるための呼称として、「実名」はインフォーマルな場面よりはフォーマルな場面でより相手と距離をおくための呼称として用いられていることが示唆された。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The present study investigated the degree of appropriateness of the usage of ‘kinship terms’ and ‘family/given name’ toward seniors by university students in South Korea. Results indicated that university students in South Korea are likely to feel that the use of kinship terms toward their seniors is appropriate whereas the use of family or given name is not. Decision tree analysis indicated that relational distance, followed by speaker’s gender, were the most influential factors in determining the appropriateness of use of kinship terms. In contrast, situation (lecture or chatting), followed by distance, were the most influential factors in determining the appropriateness of use of family or given name. Furthermore, the present study suggested that Korean university students utilize kinship terms toward their seniors to shorten their relational distance, and use family/given name in formal situations rather than informal situations to keep their relational distance. | |||||
