内容記述 The purpose of this paper is to investigate the guiding mechanism of hydromagnetic whistlers along the Earth's magnetic field-aligned plasma column in the magnetosphere by use of wave theory. The radial density distribution perpendicular to the magnetic field is assumed to be Gaussian and we use the method in which the fields are expanded into power series of the radial distance from the column axis. And the condition for trapping in a duct is discussed for enhanced, and depressed, ducts.
