A tendency has been shown to regard the issue of “I” as a general kind of harshness of life. Nonetheless, both the sexual victimization “I” encounters, and the cross-dressing aiming for disembodiment supposedly are deeply associated with masculinity. If so, taking up the issue of “I” without gender perspectives may lead to overlooking its association with masculine norms.
