Results and implications are as follows : 1 : School refusal appeared in adolescence, especially in the first year of high-school and male students predominated in this group. In general, females got well easier than male. It was suggested from this point that the school refusal was one of the adolescent crisis for male. 2 : Other symptoms were relatively not so serious in our cases. Clients showed more behavioral problems than psychic or physical symptoms. But they had no special consciousness about their problems except body condition. Their main symptom was \"acting out\" and they were characterized by their unsociable life style and ambivalent affect for others. From these points, we would like to stress the relationships between these clients and patients of borderline personality disorders. 3 : Related to their family dynamics, we found some typical family (mother\u0027s and father\u0027s) styles and/or nurturing attitude for clients. Parents in our case were characterized by following points; 1) Many of fathers were serious minded, gentle, quiet, or stubborn, bigoted. Mothers showed nervous, over-interfering, and over-protective behaviors. 2) They also had a typical attitude for clients : half of fathers were belonging to a \"passive rejection\" type group, and mothers were belonging to a \"anxiety\" or \"interference\" type group. Additionally, 3) their marital bond were no so good compared to the regular family. These family figures were very close to the former research description of school refusals; fathers have less power in the family and mothers have over protected attitude. These kind of family dynamics may related to the client behavior. For example, we heard the sentence like this \"You must go to school\", we easy to suppose this as father\u0027s. This type of behavior is affiliated on father-principle. But in our case, this father-principle looked not work well. Since school refusal is very own in Japan, it is worth while to investigate the school refusals from japanese family dynamics; motherhood dominant behaviors in japanese culture.",
