The results of pollen analyzing and AMS14C dating the intermediate peaty mud layer shows cold vegetation and weather in Younger Dryas of the latest period of Late Pleistocene.中央北海道厚真川上流厚幌ダム地域について地形面区分,14c年代測定および花粉分析に基づいて6万年前以降の環境変動の解明を行った.当該地域では50ka頃以降に,下位よりTO~T5の6段丘面が形成された.上幌内第5遺跡付近のT2面堆積物は上部にTa-d以降の降下火山灰で構成の風成層を伴うが,下部礫層に挟まれる泥炭質泥層の花粉分析とAMS14C年代測定から後期更新世末のヤンガードリアス期が示された.
