内容記述 | A finite element method is introduced to solve compressible flow problems with discontinuities, using Taylor-Galerkin discretization. A new upwinding parameter is introduced in the calculation of element matrices to resolve the discontinuity and a limiting technique is applied to the derivative of flux to supress numerical oscillations. The adopted technique is used to solve shock tube problems with shock probagation Mach number up to 5. The results are compared with the ones from an upwind TVD explicit scheme and an analytical result. The technique seems to work well for the tested cases as is evident from the presented graphs. | |||||
