内容記述 | A numerical technique has been applied, for the first time, to a three-dimentional detonation propagating in a tube of circular cross section. Using a million grid points on a supercomputer, the results have provided the mechanism of propagation; essentially the coupling among three different modes of shock waves, (i) the frontal wave in axial direction, (ii) the radial wave and (iii) the azimuthal waves. In particular, the azimuthal waves are always paired and flapping to one another to sustain the strength for self-propagation until there exists only one azimuthal wave in a so-called single-spinning mode. Another conspicuous feature is the existence of fine structure in a triple shock intersection; multiple Mach reflections existing in a macroscopic triple point. Sometimes the number of Mach reflections amounts to 5 or 6. A number of aspects found not only in two-dimensional unsteady detonations but also specific in three-dimensional detonations are presented. | |||||
