| 内容記述 | This paper reports on research regarding "ego-experiences," which appear from post childhood to pre adolescence, occurring around the concept "I," as in "Why am I 'I'?," "Who do I exist?, "where did I come from?," or "Why was I born at this particular time rather than at a different point in time?" The purposes of this second longitudinal study, based on interviews with six participants three years after the first study, were as follows: to examine any changes reported by the participants re their ego-experiences and the meanings thereof; to examine the extent to which participants had forgotten their previously reported ego-experiences; and to obtain the first reported ego-experiences from those who had not reported any at the time of the first longitudinal study. The results indicate that 2 out of the 6 participants had forgotten their previously reported ego-experiences; 1 out of the 6 reported the same ego-experiences as in the first longitudinal study, but had not thought about the meaning of that ego-experience; and another 1, who did not report at the first longitudinal study, reported an ego-experience at the second one. Another 1 out of 2 who had reported ambiguous feelings at the first longitudinal study again reported ambiguous feelings in this study, while the other reported an ego-experience the meaning of which he had not considered. It seems likely that ego experiences can readily be forgotten over a three-year span of time, particularly when there is a developmental shift. It is also possible that articulating the meaning of ego experiences is not a common occurrence. | |||||
