However, much remains to be clarified as to the APD restitution kinetics in the normal ventricular myocardium of humans. Monophasic action potentials were recorded from the right ventricular apex and outflow tract in five patients who had no ventricular tachyarrhythmias or structural heart disease. APD restitution kinetics was estimated by a standard S1-S2 protocol. The APD restitution curve was constructed by plotting APD_\u003c90\u003e for each premature stimulus (S2) as a parameter of the preceding diastolic interval. The average values of slope_\u003cmax\u003e of APD_\u003c90\u003e for each premature stimulus (S2) as a parameter of the preceding diastolic interval. The average values of slope_\u003cmax\u003e of APD restitution curve were 0.44±0.09 in RVA and 0.49±0.10 in RVOT. The slope_\u003cmax\u003e did not exceed 1.0 at any recording sites.
