"20世紀，とりわけ1990年代半ばにおけるアメリカ経済の復興を背景にして，ITの投入がアメリカの経済成長にいかなる影響を与えたのかという問題は，経済学者たちの関心を集めている。多くの研究においては，ITの投入がアメリカの経済成長を持続的に促進したと結論づけた上で，その効果について，次のように分析している。これを端的に言うと，先進国の場合には，ITが一国の経済成長を促すという効果の普遍性を確認できる一方で，他方，発展途上国の場合には，その効果自体をまだ明確に確認していないということである。 本研究は，生産可能性フロンティアと双対法という2つの手法を採用し，ITの投入が1980～2003年の期間に中国の経済に与えた影響を分析する。そして，これら一連の分析を通じて，本研究は，次の結果を析出する。まず，産出として，ITが中国の経済成長を促進する効果は，明らかなことである。その一方で，投入としてITが経済成長を促す効果については，1995年以降になってから初めてその効果が顕著に現れたということである。その上で，中国の算出値を日本とアメリカの同時期の値と比較することで，これら3ヶ国間での，ITが経済成長に与えた影響やパターンの類似点と相違点を究明する。その上で，最後に，中国経済の持続的な発展のためには，ITの投入がどのように行われるべきなのかということについて提言する。",
